Team Spirit to Retain their Roster

Current world champions Team Spirit are going to save their line-up despite the recent disappointing results. In a new vlog, the team’s manager Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov confirmed that there will be no reshuffles in the roster.

The team’s current line-up has been competing without changes since early 2021 and managed to become the winners of The International 2021. This year they emerged victorious in the DPC’s first tour – both in the regular season and in the regional finals, as well as placed 2nd in the second tour.

At the recent ESL One Stockholm 2022 however the team placed 9th – 12th – first they finished 4th in Group B with a 3-1-2 score, but later lost their both playoffs series to Tundra (1-2) and beastcoast (0-2). Thus, they received neither prize money nor DPC points.

In the blog the team members explained that they did not have enough time to prepare for the major, as the Eastern European league of DPC was announced at a short notice. Besides that, the team was moved from Russia to Serbia amidst the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, as the line-up consists of three Russian and two Ukrainian players. The team’s captain Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov says that he believes in all members of the team and that they will try to improve the results by returning to a training process that they used prior to the recent The International.
