Evil Geniuses Are the Final Participant of MSI 2022

Evil Geniuses have become the final team to qualify for Mid-Season Invitational 2022. In the grand finale of LCS Spring 2022 they defeated 100 Thieves with a 3-0 score. This weekend we also saw the conclusion of LPL Spring 2022 with a victory of Royal Never Give Up, who outplayed Top Esports (3-2).

Since now all eleven participants of the event are known, RIOT Games have seeded them into three groups. They are as follows:

• Group A: DetonatioN FocusMe, Saigon Buffalo, T1, Team Aze
• Group B: PSG Talon, RED Canids, Royal Never Give Up, Istanbul Wildcats
• Group C: Evil Geniuses, G2 Esports, Order

Initially the line-up was supposed to include twelve teams, however the Spring Split of LCL was cancelled and thus the CIS region will not be represented at MSI 2022. Moreover, earlier we reported that the LPL team – RNG – will participate in the championship remotely.

MSI 2022 is scheduled for May 10th – 29th and will be played in Busan, South Korea. The tournament’s prize pool is set at $250,000.
