Blizzard Reveal Abilities of Overwatch’s New Hero Sojourn

With the upcoming launch of Overwatch 2 Beta, Blizzard have revealed new details on the game’s new hero, Sojourn. She is the game’s 33rd hero on the roster, and the first one to be added to the game since Echo’s release in April 2020.

The hero falls into the Damage category and has a high ceiling since most of her abilities depend on a player’s accuracy. She also has a good vertical and horizontal mobility and can slow the enemies to easier land the shots. During the beta, the developers will analyse how the hero performs in different skill levels to be sure that the hero feels good for everyone. You can learn more about Sojourn from the official blog.

Sojourn Abilities:

  • RailgunPrimary Fire: Rapid firing projectiles that generate energy on impact Secondary Fire: High impact shot that consumes stored energy
  • Power Slide – Ground slide that can cancel into a high jump
  • Disruptor Shot – Launch an energy shot that slows and deals damage to enemies within it
  • Overclock – Railgun energy auto-charges for a short duration and charged shots pierce enemies

Sojourn will be available with the start of beta testing, which is scheduled for April 26th. The testing will be focused on the PvP aspects of the game, introducing the change to the 5v5 format, several new maps and a new Push game mode, significant hero updates and reworks, and new gameplay features such as a new ping system.
